      • Rabies
        • Rabies vaccinations are required by law in the state of Texas for all cats. All mammals are susceptible to rabies.
        • All cats over 16 weeks of age are required to have a rabies vaccination. All pets receive a 1 year rabies vaccine the first time they are vaccinated. Where allowed we will give a 3 year rabies vaccine.
      • Feline Leukemia
        • Feline leukemia virus is found worldwide in domestic cats. Transmission occurs through sustained close contact among cats.
        • We recommend all kittens receive the FeLv vaccine and adults based on their risk level.
      • FVRCP
        • FVRCP is a core vaccine for cats commonly called the feline distemper vaccine. This vaccine protects against feline viral rhinotracheitis (feline herpesvirus), calicivirus and panleukopenia.
        • We recommend vaccinating kittens at 8, 12 and 16 weeks of age. We recommend boosters every 1-3 years.
  • Routine Chemistry and Blood Cell Count
    • We recommend annual blood work on all cats over the age of 5 and additional testing in senior cats over the age of 8.
    • Preventive blood work can help us detect underlying issues before they are a problem clinically
  • Fecal Testing
    • We recommend fecals at 8 and 16 weeks for kittens and annually testing for adults.
